Recruitment for 874 JE Posts in Rajasthan; Applications Began on August 16

According to the recruitment notification issued by the RSSB, a total of 874 posts will be filled. Of these, 793 posts are for non-scheduled areas and 81 posts are for scheduled areas. The application process commenced yesterday, August 16.

Rajasthan JE Recruitment: The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has initiated the application process for the recruitment of Junior Engineers (JE) across 874 posts. This recruitment drive aims to fill JE positions in various government departments of Rajasthan, including the Public Works Department (PWD), Water Resources Department, and Public Health Engineering Department (PHED). Applications opened yesterday, August 16, and can be submitted via the Rajasthan SSO portal.

Recruitment for These 874 Posts

As per the RSSB notification, a total of 874 posts will be filled, comprising 793 posts for non-scheduled areas and 81 for scheduled areas. Department-wise, the vacancies include: 351 posts for JE Civil (Degree) and 42 for JE Civil (Diploma) in PWD; 72 posts for JE Civil (Degree) and 179 for JE Civil (Diploma) in the Water Resources Department; and 47 posts for JE Civil (Degree), 151 for JE Civil (Diploma), and 32 for JE Mechanical-Electrical (Diploma) in PHED. Candidates applying for posts across different categories must submit separate applications in accordance with the relevant rules.

Forms Can Be Submitted Until September 14

Online applications for the Rajasthan JE recruitment have commenced on August 16. Candidates can apply until 11:59 PM on September 14. Applications must be submitted through the Rajasthan SSO portal. Candidates are advised to carefully review the educational qualifications, age limits, and other conditions associated with the respective posts before applying.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for these posts must be between 18 and 40 years of age. Age will be calculated as of January 1, 2027. Relaxation in the maximum age limit will be granted to reserved categories in accordance with Rajasthan’s regulations. Educational qualifications vary depending on the specific post; candidates must possess an engineering degree or diploma in the relevant trade from a recognized university or institution. In addition to Civil Engineering, the recruitment drive includes posts related to Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.

Exam Tentatively Scheduled for February 2027

The RSSB JE recruitment examination is tentatively scheduled for February 2027. The exam may be conducted via CBT (Computer-Based Test), TBT, or OMR-based modes; the final examination format and schedule will be clarified by the board at a later date. The exam will carry a total of 120 marks, and candidates will be allotted two hours to complete the paper. The questions will be of the multiple-choice type; for Civil Engineering degree and diploma posts, the paper will include subject-specific technical questions as well as questions related to Rajasthan’s General Knowledge.
