According to UPSC, the recruitment examination for the APFC posts is scheduled for December 20, 2026.
Recruitment for 80 EPFO Posts
A total of 80 vacant posts are to be filled under the UPSC EPFO APFC recruitment 2026. These include 29 posts for the General category, 8 for EWS, 18 for OBC, 15 for SC, and 10 for ST candidates. Three of the total posts are reserved for the PwBD category. Candidates selected for this post will work with the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO). The APFC post falls under Level 10 of the 7th Pay Commission’s pay matrix.

Who is Eligible for These Posts?
For the APFC post, candidates must hold a degree from a recognized university. The notification lists a diploma in Company Law, Labour Law, or Public Administration as a desirable qualification. The maximum age limit is 35 years for General and EWS category candidates; it is 38 years for OBC candidates and 40 years for SC and ST candidates. Age will be calculated based on the application deadline. Reserved categories will also be eligible for age relaxation. Regarding the application fee, candidates required to pay must remit ₹25; however, SC, ST, PwBD, and female candidates are exempted from the fee.
Revised Syllabus for APFC Recruitment Exam
The syllabus for the APFC recruitment exam has been revised. The notification replaces ‘Labour Law’ with ‘Labour Codes’. Additionally, the exam covers General English, Indian Culture, Heritage and Freedom Movements, Development Issues, Current Trends in the Indian Economy, Governance, and the Indian Constitution. The syllabus also includes General Science, Basic Computer Applications, Elementary Mathematics, Statistics, General Mental Ability, Industrial Relations, Labour Codes, and Social Security in India. Furthermore, questions related to Principles of Accountancy, Auditing, Insurance, and national and international events will be asked.
