Recruitment for 412 Posts in UP Youth Welfare Department; Apply by October 16

A notification has been issued for the recruitment of 412 personnel in the UP Youth Welfare and Provincial Guard (Prantiya Rakshak Dal) Department. This recruitment drive is for the posts of Regional Youth Welfare and Provincial Development Team Officer and Physical Training Instructor.

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released the notification for these 412 vacancies. The application process begins on October 16, and interested candidates can submit their forms online until November 6, 2026. This recruitment is being conducted under Advertisement No. 23-Exam/2026. Notably, only candidates who participated in the UPSSSC PET 2025 and possess a valid PET score are eligible to apply; the shortlisting of candidates will be based on the normalized scores obtained in PET 2025.

The recruitment drive comprises a total of 412 posts. The majority—368 posts—are for Regional Youth Welfare and Provincial Development Team Officers, while 44 posts are designated for Physical Training Instructors. Of the 368 Regional Youth Welfare Officer posts, 142 fall under the ‘Special Selection’ category and 226 under ‘General Selection’. Similarly, the 44 Physical Training Instructor posts are split equally, with 22 allocated for Special Selection and 22 for General Selection.

Graduates Eligible to Apply

For the post of Regional Youth Welfare and Provincial Development Team Officer, candidates must hold a graduation degree from a university established by law in India. Graduation is also mandatory for the Physical Training Instructor post; additionally, candidates must possess the prescribed qualifications in physical education, such as D.P.Ed., B.P.Ed., or an equivalent qualification. Additionally, qualifications such as B.P.Ed./D.P.Ed., organizational experience, at least two years of service in the Territorial Army, and an NCC ‘B’ Certificate will be considered for preference, subject to prescribed conditions.

Age Limit: 21 to 40 Years

For this recruitment, candidates must be between 21 and 40 years of age as of July 1, 2026. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and other eligible reserved categories will receive relaxation in the upper age limit in accordance with Uttar Pradesh government rules. All candidates are required to pay a processing fee of ₹25 at the time of application. Shortlisted candidates will have to pay a separate prescribed fee for the main examination.

Online applications for the UPSSSC Youth Welfare Officer Recruitment 2026 can be submitted from October 16 to November 6, 2026. A window until November 13, 2026, is provided for fee payment and necessary corrections to the application. Candidates can apply by visiting the official website and using their PET 2026 registration details. It is also essential to keep a printed copy of the filled-out form for future reference.

Selection Process

The recruitment process begins with shortlisting candidates for the main examination based on their normalized scores from PET 2025. This will be followed by the main written examination. After the written exam, candidates must pass the prescribed physical measurement and physical efficiency tests. Subsequently, document verification and the final merit list preparation will be conducted. Candidates with a zero or negative PET score will not be shortlisted for the main examination. Physical standards have also been prescribed for the post of Regional Youth Welfare Officer.

The post of Regional Youth Welfare and Provincial Development Corps Officer falls under Pay Level 5, with a salary range of ₹29,200 to ₹92,300. Meanwhile, the post of Physical Training Instructor falls under Pay Level 6, with a salary range of ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400.
