When Does the Application Process Begin?

The online application process for the GDCE recruitment will commence on August 15, 2026. Candidates can submit their applications until September 14, 2026. A candidate is required to submit only one online application, even if applying for multiple notified posts. Applications must be submitted via the link available on the RRC Bhubaneswar website. The Railways has advised candidates to fill in the form details carefully and complete the application process within the stipulated timeframe.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected through a Computer-Based Test (CBT). Depending on the specific post, an aptitude test or a typing skill test may be conducted following the CBT. Subsequently, candidates will undergo document verification and a medical examination. Candidates will be shortlisted for document verification based on merit and their performance in the CBT (Computer-Based Test) or CBAT (Computer-Based Aptitude Test) relevant to the specific post.

Negative Marking in CBT

Negative marking will apply to incorrect answers in the CBT; one-third of the marks allotted to a question will be deducted for every wrong answer. However, there will be no negative marking in the CBAT. Minimum qualifying marks have also been set for the examination: 40% for General candidates, 30% for OBC, 30% for SC, and 25% for ST candidates.
