Who can apply for GDS Recruitment?

Candidates must have passed the 10th standard to be eligible for this recruitment. Additionally, candidates must possess knowledge of the relevant local language and know how to ride a bicycle. Age limit for GDS Recruitment

Candidates must be at least 18 years old as of September 21, 2026.
Maximum age for General and EWS categories: 40 years.
Maximum age for OBC category: 43 years.
Maximum age for SC/ST categories: 45 years.

GDS Recruitment: What is the application fee?

The application fee is ₹100 for candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories. No fee will be charged to SC, ST, and PH candidates. The application fee is also nil for female candidates across all categories.

The fee can be paid via credit card, debit card, net banking, or an offline e-challan. Offline challans can be deposited at the nearest Head Post Office or GPO.

What is the salary under GDS Recruitment?

Under the India Post GDS recruitment, the monthly salary for the BPM (Branch Post Master) post ranges from ₹12,000 to ₹14,500, while the salary for ABPM (Assistant Branch Post Master) and Dak Sevak posts ranges from ₹10,000 to ₹12,000 per month.
