RBI Grade B Officer Recruitment 2025: The golden opportunity to become an officer in the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is about to end. The last date to register for the post of Officer Grade B (Direct Recruitment) in various departments of the RBI is September 30, 2025, until 6:00 pm. Candidates can apply for RBI Grade B Officer positions on the official website, Opportunities.rbi.org.in. Candidates who complete the application process will be able to download a printout of their application form by October 10.
RBI Grade B Vacancy Details: Number of Vacancies
This recruitment drive covers three streams. The highest number of vacancies is in the Grade B (DR) - General stream, with 83. Additionally, 17 vacancies are available in the Department of Economic and Policy Research (DEPR) and 20 in the Department of Statistics and Information Management (DSIM). A total of 120 vacancies will be filled under this recruitment drive.
Educational Qualifications and Eligibility
The RBI has set different educational qualifications for different streams.
For the General stream, candidates must have a bachelor's degree in any subject with at least 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) or a master's degree with 55% marks (only pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD). Candidates with a CA or equivalent professional degree can also apply.
For the DEPR stream, a master's degree in economics, finance, econometrics, or a related subject is required, with a minimum of 55% marks. Candidates with a PGDM/MBA (Finance) and teaching/research experience may be eligible for age relaxation.
For the DSIM stream, a master's degree (at least 55% marks) in statistics, mathematical statistics, mathematical economics, or a related subject is required. Additionally, M.Stat. from ISI, or PGDBA holders from ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur, and IIM Calcutta are also eligible.
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 21 and 30 years of age as of July 1, 2025. The maximum age limit for M.Phil. holders is 32 years and for PhD holders is 34 years.
Application Fee
General and OBC candidates will have to pay a fee of ₹850.
SC/ST and PwBD candidates will have to pay a fee of only ₹100.
