Rajasthan Teacher Recruitment Exam Date: Exam will be held in July

This recruitment drive will fill a total of 6,500 positions for the Senior Teacher (TGT) (10 subjects) for the Secondary Education Department. This is the largest recruitment drive of 2025, with the application process beginning on August 19th. The exam will be held in July 2026.

Rajasthan Teacher Recruitment Age Limit: Age Limit Relaxation for Candidates in These Subjects

According to the rules issued by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), the minimum age for applicants for Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Urdu, and Punjabi subjects is 18 years old and the maximum age is 40 years old. There is no specific age relaxation for these subjects.

The Commission has decided to grant an additional 3 years' age relaxation to candidates in Sindhi and Gujarati subjects. The last recruitment for these subjects was for only 10 posts in 2013, and no subsequent advertisements were issued. Given the long gap, the Commission has provided this special relaxation to candidates.

Rajasthan Teacher Recruitment Eligibility: Educational Qualifications

Educational qualifications vary for teachers of different subjects. For science subjects, a bachelor's degree with any two subjects (as optional) from Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Microbiology, Biotechnology, and Biochemistry, as well as a B.Ed. degree. For social sciences, a bachelor's degree with any two subjects (as optional) from History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Public Administration, and Philosophy, as well as a B.Ed. degree, is required.

General, Backward Class (Creamy Layer), Extremely Backward Class (Creamy Layer): ₹600

Reserved Category (Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/Extremely Backward Class (Non-Creamy Layer)/Economically Weaker Section/Sahariya Primitive Tribe) and Persons with Disabilities: ₹400
