The Railways has announced a new recruitment opportunity for young people seeking government jobs. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has issued a notification for the recruitment of graduate-level posts under the Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC). The online application process began on October 8. A total of 3,548 vacant positions will be filled through this recruitment drive. Interested candidates can apply online by visiting the official website, rrbapply.gov.in.

**To Avoid Errors**
According to the RRB notification, the deadline for submitting online applications for the NTPC graduate-level recruitment is November 6, 2026. Candidates should enter all information carefully and upload the required documents correctly while filling out the form. An opportunity to correct any errors in the application will be available from November 9 to November 18, 2026. However, candidates are advised to thoroughly check all details before submission to avoid the need for later corrections. Please ensure you meet the eligibility criteria before applying.

**Selection Process**
The RRB NTPC examination process comprises CBT-1, CBT-2, a Typing Skill Test (TST) or Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT), document verification, and a medical examination.

CBT-1 consists of 100 questions, while CBT-2 comprises 120 questions.
Both computer-based tests include questions on Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and General Awareness.

The exam includes a negative marking provision, where one-third of a mark is deducted for every incorrect answer. Candidates applying for posts such as Clerk and Typist must take the Typing Skill Test, whereas those applying for posts like Station Master must appear for the CBAT.

Subsequently, eligible candidates will undergo document verification and a medical examination.

**Rely on Trusted Sources**
First, thoroughly understand the syllabus. Next, begin your preparation using reliable study materials. Since the exam includes negative marking, practice mathematics and reasoning questions regularly to improve both speed and accuracy. For General Awareness, study current affairs and key general knowledge topics; cultivate the habit of reading a reputable Hindi or English newspaper daily. This will keep you informed about current events while strengthening your General Studies preparation.

Focus on Smart Study
Prioritize a sound strategy and smart study techniques for your exam preparation. Briefly review the topics studied each day and dedicate one day a week to revising the entire week's material. You can use techniques like flashcards, the Pomodoro method, and the "memory palace" to aid retention.

•    Note down shortcuts and formulas for frequently asked questions in mathematics.
•    Solving different types of questions daily will enhance your speed and accuracy.
•    Take regular mock tests; do not just look at your score—analyze the reasons behind any incorrect answers.
•    Write down the questions you got wrong in a separate notebook and solve them again.
