Southern Railway Recruitment 2025: Southern Railway has released recruitment for 67 posts under sports quota, in which the selection of candidates will be done only on the basis of sports achievements and trials.

Southern Railway Recruitment 2025: Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) Southern Railway has given a big opportunity to the youth having sports talent. Notification has been issued for recruitment to a total of 67 posts under the sports quota. If you have performed well in sports and dream of a government job, then this opportunity can be very special for you.

Interested candidates can apply till 12 October 2025. The application process will be completely online and for this the candidates will have to fill the form by visiting the official website of Southern Railway, rrcmas.in.

Under this recruitment drive, appointments will be made on a total of 67 posts, which are divided at different levels. This includes 5 posts for Level 4 and 5, 16 posts for Level 2 and 3 and 46 posts for Level 1.

Talking about the qualification, the candidates applying for Level 1 posts should have a minimum 10th pass or ITI degree. At the same time, for the posts of Level 2 and above, the candidate must have studied 12th or above. Along with this, the age limit has also been fixed. The age of the candidate should be minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 1 January 2026. That is, the date of birth of the applicant should be between 2 January 2001 to 1 January 2008.

The selection process will be completely transparent and based on sports achievements. There will be no written examination of any kind in this. First of all, the sports achievements of the candidates will be seen, after that sports trials will be conducted. During these trials, their performance on the field will be evaluated. The players who successfully pass these stages will finally have to go through the process of document verification. The final merit list will be prepared entirely on the basis of trials and achievements.

The selected candidates will get salary as per the Seventh Pay Commission. The salary for level 1 posts will start from Rs 18,000 per month, while it can go up to Rs 29,200 for upper level posts.

Talking about the application fee, the fee has been fixed at Rs 500 for general category candidates. However, after appearing in the trial, Rs 400 of them will be refunded. At the same time, the application fee for SC, ST, Women, Divyang and Ex-Serviceman candidates has been kept at only Rs 250, which will be refunded in full after participating in the trial. That is, in fact, this recruitment can be said to be almost free for the players.
