When will the exam be held?

According to the schedule released, the computer based examination for this recruitment will start from 17 November 2025 and will end at the end of December 2025. This exam will be a computer-based test (CBT). Candidates who pass the CBT will have to undergo Physical Efficiency Test (PET). This will be followed by document verification and medical examination.

The link to view exam city and date and download travel information for SC/ST candidates will be made live on the official websites of all RRBS about 10 days before the exam date. Call letters will be available for download about 4 days before the exam date mentioned in the exam city and date information link.

What is the exam pattern?

The duration of the exam is 90 minutes. A total of 100 questions will be asked, out of which 25-25 questions will be from General Science and Mathematics, 30-30 questions from General Intelligence and Reasoning and 20-20 questions from General Awareness and Current Affairs. There will be negative marking and 1/3 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

The minimum percentage of marks for shortlisting in different communities is 40% for UR, 40% for EWS, 30% for OBC (non-creamy layer) category, 30% for SC and ST. The duration of the exam for eligible Divyaangjan candidates with scribe will be 120 minutes.
