PWD Jobs: Jobs available for scaring away monkeys; PWD issues tender for recruitment, find out the details..
Given the increasing number of monkeys in the Delhi Assembly and the problems they are causing, the government is preparing to take a necessary step. To ensure the safety of MLAs, staff, and visitors, the Delhi government is now going to recruit special personnel to drive away the monkeys. The Public Works Department (PWD) has even issued a tender for this purpose. Importantly, these individuals will be tasked with mimicking the sounds of langurs to scare the monkeys away. This arrangement is being made in view of the upcoming winter session.
The Delhi Assembly complex has long been plagued by monkeys. Monkeys are frequently seen in groups in and around the premises, disrupting work and raising security concerns. It is for this reason that the Delhi government has decided to tackle this problem professionally.
New preparations to deal with the monkey problem
The Delhi winter session is scheduled to begin between January 5th and 8th, during which a large number of MLAs, officials, and other people will be present at the Assembly. To avoid any kind of disruption, the PWD has issued a tender for the deployment of individuals who are capable of mimicking langur sounds and scaring the monkeys away.
According to PWD officials, the selected employees will have to work eight hours a day, from Monday to Saturday. They will be deployed in the Assembly complex so that any monkey presence can be dealt with immediately. According to reports, langur statues were previously installed in the Assembly complex, but they are no longer proving effective. Instead of being scared, the monkeys simply sit on them.
