Patna High Court Recruitment 2026: Recruitment for 56 Posts at Patna High Court; Applications Open for Computer Operators and District Judges

How many posts are open for recruitment?

Under the Patna High Court Recruitment 2026, a total of 56 posts have been announced. Of these, 48 posts have been designated for Computer Operators, while 8 posts have been reserved for District Judges. Separate eligibility criteria and selection processes will apply to each of these two categories of posts.

Eligibility Criteria

For the Computer Operator post, it is mandatory for a candidate to hold a graduate degree from a recognized university. Additionally, the candidate must possess a diploma or certificate in Computer Applications, and knowledge of typing is also required. Conversely, for the District Judge post, the candidate must possess the specific qualifications relevant to High Court recruitment and the prescribed number of years of experience as an advocate.

Age Limit

For the Computer Operator post, the minimum age limit for candidates has been set at 18 years, and the maximum age limit at 37 years. For the District Judge post, the minimum age limit is 35 years, and the maximum age limit is 50 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted age relaxation in accordance with government regulations.

Selection Process

Under the recruitment process, candidates will be selected in several stages. A preliminary examination may be conducted if deemed necessary. This will be followed by a main examination or written test. A typing test will also be conducted for the post of Computer Operator. In the final stage, a merit list will be released following an interview and document verification.

Application Fee

For the post of Computer Operator, candidates belonging to the General, BC, EBC, and EWS categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹1,100, whereas for candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and Divyang (differently-abled) categories, this fee has been fixed at ₹550. For the post of District Judge, candidates belonging to the General category are required to pay an application fee of ₹1,500, while candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and other reserved categories must pay ₹750.
