Sports Ministry Paid Internship 2025: If you are passionate about sports and are considering a career in this field, then there's great news for you. The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has launched a new internship scheme, for which a budget of ₹5.3 crore has been allocated. This will be a paid internship, offering you the opportunity to learn the intricacies of working in sports-related fields while also earning money.

Through this internship scheme, the government aims to build a strong team of experts in sports administration, science, and related fields. It also aims to connect young people who are interested in this field with the world of sports. Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Mansukh Mandaviya, believes that this new initiative will play a significant role in nation-building through sports.

Where will the internship opportunities be available?
Candidates will be selected for 452 positions in this internship program. Selected candidates will get the opportunity to work with MYAS and its key associated bodies. These include three major organizations:

Sports Authority of India (SAI): The Sports Authority of India promotes sports in India. It also identifies talented athletes and prepares them to compete at the international level.

National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA): This agency works to prevent doping (use of performance-enhancing drugs) in sports. Action is taken against any athlete who violates the rules.

National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL): This is a testing laboratory where tests for doping in sports are conducted.

Interns will work in more than 20 domains, including sports management, event operations, media and communication, legal affairs, and IT systems. Candidates can learn the intricacies of working in the field of their interest.

Who can apply?
Graduate and postgraduate candidates who wish to work in sports management, physical education, or similar fields can apply. The Ministry will soon provide application-related information on its application portal or official website. Candidates will then be able to register. This internship program will begin every year in January and July. After applying, shortlisted candidates will go through an onboarding process, during which a team of experts will make the final selections. Overall, it would be fair to say that this internship program will help increase young people's interest in sports.
