OSSSC Teacher Recruitment 2024: Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) has started online applications for recruitment to the post of Physical Education Teacher (PET), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)- Science (PCM), and Sanskrit Teacher in Government Schools under ST and SC Development, M and BCW Department. Eligible candidates can submit their online applications through the official website osssc.gov.in till January 31, 2025. Candidates can register their applications till January 22, 2025.
The aim of this recruitment drive is to fill 205 posts for teachers. Which includes 105 posts for Physical Education Teacher, 71 posts for Sanskrit Teacher post, and 29 posts for TGT Science Teacher.
Eligibility Criteria
TGT (Science-PCM): Candidates applying for these posts should have a Bachelor's degree in Science (PCM) from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/SEBC candidates) and a B.Ed degree.
Sanskrit Teacher: Bachelor's degree with Sanskrit as an elective/optional/honors/passed subject from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/SEBC candidates) and MA in Sanskrit with a minimum of 50% marks.
Physical Education Teacher: Must have passed class 12th or its equivalent examination and must have passed CPEd/BPEd/MPEd examination from a recognized board/university.
Age Limit
The age of the candidates applying for these posts should be between 21 to 38 years. SEBC/SC/ST and female candidates will be given a relaxation of 5 years. On the other hand, Divyang candidates will be given a relaxation of 10 years.

On 27th December 2024, a notice was issued by the Commission informing that the Commission will invite online applications to fill 2279 District Cadre posts of Sevak/Sevika and Tribal Language Teachers in Government Schools under ST & SC Development, M&BCW Department.
