OSSB Junior Assistant Recruitment 2026: The Odisha State Selection Board (OSSB) has issued a notification (Advertisement No. 03/2026) for the recruitment of 14 Junior Assistants/Clerks. This recruitment is for the CHSE (Odisha) and the School & Mass Education Department.

The online application process began on July 1, 2026. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the official website, ssbodisha.ac.in, until 11:45 PM on August 18, 2026.

Category-wise Vacancies
A total of 14 posts will be filled. The details of category-wise vacancies are as follows:

Unreserved (UR): 6 posts (2 reserved for women)
Scheduled Tribe (ST): 4 posts
Scheduled Caste (SC): 4 posts (2 reserved for women)

Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification in any discipline from a recognized university or institution. Additionally, candidates are required to hold a certificate of basic computer knowledge.

Age Limit
As of January 1, 2026, the candidate's age must be between 21 and 42 years. This means the candidate must not have been born before January 1, 1984, or after January 1, 2005. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted relaxation in the upper age limit as per the rules.

Selection Process
The selection of candidates will take place in two stages:

Written Examination - 200 marks
Computer Skill Test - 20 marks

Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for the computer skill test and document verification. What is the salary?
Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹25,500 to ₹81,100 under Group-C, Level-4. Additionally, other allowances will be provided as per the rules.

What are the available exam centers?
The written examination will be conducted across five exam zones in Odisha:

Balasore
Berhampur
Bhubaneswar
Jeypore
Sambalpur

However, the computer skill test and document verification will be conducted only in Bhubaneswar.

Application Fee
General/SEBC/OBC: ₹500
SC/ST/PwD: ₹200

This fee is non-refundable.
