OPSC AAO Recruitment 2026: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) officially released the notification for the Assistant Agriculture Officer (AAO) recruitment 2026 on December 31, 2025. Under this recruitment drive, 118 vacancies for Group-B Assistant Agriculture Officers under the Department of Agriculture and Farmers' Empowerment will be filled, of which 40 posts are reserved for women.

Who can apply?
For the Assistant Agriculture Officer (AAO) post, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture (B.Sc. (Agri.)) or a Bachelor's degree in Horticulture (B.Sc. (Horticulture)) from a recognized university or institution. No other qualification will be considered equivalent.
Candidates must be able to read, write, and speak the Odia language. They must fulfill one of the four language criteria mentioned in the notification. The candidate must also be a citizen of India.
What is the application fee?
Candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and SEBC categories will have to pay an examination fee of Rs. 700 for the Assistant Agriculture Officer recruitment 2026, which will be refunded after appearing in both papers of the written examination. Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Persons with Disabilities candidates are exempted from the fee, and the refund policy does not apply to them.
What is the salary?
Selected candidates will be appointed to the post of Assistant Agriculture Officer (Group-B) in Level-10, Cell-1 as per the Odisha Revised Scale of Pay (ORSP) Rules, 2017. The estimated initial basic salary for this post is Rs. 44,900 per month, which corresponds to the pre-revised pay scale of Rs. 9,300–34,800 (Grade Pay ₹4,600). In addition, the selected candidates will also be entitled to dearness allowance (DA) and other allowances as sanctioned by the state government from time to time.
