The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB) has issued an official notification for the recruitment of 655 vacant posts—comprising Subedar (Stenographer) and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI - Ministerial)—under the Police Headquarters and the Home (Police) Department. This recruitment drive includes 135 vacancies for Subedar and 520 for Assistant Sub-Inspector. Interested candidates can apply online via the official website starting September 24.

**Eligibility and Age Limit**
**Educational Qualification:** Candidates must have passed the 12th standard from a recognized board. Additionally, specific computer proficiency—such as CPCT Hindi typing—is required based on the post; for the Subedar (Steno) post, passing a Hindi shorthand test at a speed of 100 words per minute is mandatory.

**Age Limit:** The maximum age limit for candidates is set at 33 years. However, female candidates from MP, as well as candidates belonging to SC, ST, and OBC categories, will be granted a five-year relaxation in the maximum age limit (up to a maximum of 38 years) in accordance with government rules.

**Selection Process and Exam Date**
Candidates will be selected based on a written examination (CBT), document verification, a skill test (typing/stenography), and a medical test. The first phase of the written examination will commence on November 3, 2026. The exam will be conducted in two shifts: from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

**Application Fee**
The registration fee for the Unreserved (General) category is set at ₹500 (excluding portal charges). For SC, ST, OBC, and EWS candidates from Madhya Pradesh, the fee is set at ₹250.

**Salary Details**
Candidates selected for the post of Subedar will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹36,200 to ₹1,14,800 (Level-9), while those selected for the post of Assistant Sub-Inspector will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹19,500 to ₹62,000 (Level-4).
