If you possess an engineering degree and have appeared for the GATE examination, NPCIL has announced recruitment for Executive Trainee positions. Interested candidates may apply via the NPCIL careers website—npcilcareers.co.in—by April 30.
The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) has released a recruitment notification for the posts of Executive Trainee. This recruitment drive is specifically aimed at candidates who have completed their engineering studies and have obtained a valid GATE score.
Under this NPCIL recruitment drive, vacancies have been announced for major engineering disciplines such as Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Chemical, and Civil Engineering. Specific eligibility criteria and acceptable degrees have been defined for each branch, allowing candidates to apply according to their respective fields of study.
To apply for these positions, candidates are required to hold a B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering) degree or a 5-year Integrated M.Tech degree. Additionally, securing a minimum of 60% marks is mandatory. The degree must be obtained from an institution recognized by the AICTE or UGC; only then will the application be considered valid.
For the NPCIL Executive Trainee positions, the maximum age limit for candidates belonging to the General/EWS categories is set at 26 years. However, candidates belonging to other reserved categories will be granted age relaxation in accordance with government regulations.
A key highlight of this recruitment process is that a valid GATE score is a mandatory requirement for selection. Candidates must possess a valid score from either GATE-2024, GATE-2025, or GATE-2026. Furthermore, the GATE score must be obtained in the same engineering discipline in which the candidate holds their degree.
Candidates selected for the NPCIL Executive Trainee positions will receive a monthly stipend of approximately ₹55,000 during their training period. Upon completion of the training, candidates are appointed to the position of Scientific Officer, where the initial basic pay is approximately ₹56,100 (Level-10). In addition to this, they receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), transport allowance, and other perks. Consequently, the total monthly salary can range from approximately ₹80,000 to ₹1,00,000.
