This recruitment drive covers the roles of Senior Environmental Engineer, Environmental Engineer, and Assistant Environmental Engineer. Candidates selected for these posts will receive a salary in accordance with the 7th Pay Commission; the maximum monthly salary for the Senior Environmental Engineer post is ₹2,09,200. According to the notification issued by the DPCC, this recruitment will be on a regular basis. A total of 17 posts will be filled under the DPCC recruitment drive. What is the salary structure?

For the Senior Environmental Engineer post, the salary ranges from ₹78,800 to ₹2,09,200. For the Environmental Engineer post, it ranges from ₹67,700 to ₹2,08,700, and for the Assistant Environmental Engineer post, from ₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500. Thus, the Senior Environmental Engineer post offers the highest salary in this recruitment drive.

Who can apply?

For the Senior Environmental Engineer post, a Master’s degree in Engineering in the relevant field is required, followed by 10 years of experience in pollution control or a related sector. The maximum age limit for this post is 50 years. For the Environmental Engineer post, a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8 years of experience or a Master’s degree with 6 years of experience is required; the maximum age limit for this post is 40 years. Meanwhile, for the Assistant Environmental Engineer post, a degree in the relevant engineering field with 2 years of experience or a Master’s degree is required; the maximum age limit for this post is 35 years.

Who is eligible for the AE posts?

The recruitment drive includes 11 posts for Assistant Environmental Engineers. Specific posts among these are reserved for OBC (Delhi) and PwBD candidates in accordance with reservation rules. According to the notification, applications for this post from other categories will not be accepted. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted age relaxation.

Selection based on interview

Selection for the DPCC recruitment will not be based solely on an interview. A framework totaling 100 marks has been established for the shortlisting and selection of candidates. This framework incorporates marks for minimum educational qualifications, additional qualifications, relevant experience, the prescribed UPSC technical-engineering examination, a valid GATE score, and the interview. The marks are allocated as follows: 10 marks for minimum qualifications, 10 marks for additional qualifications, 25 marks for relevant experience, 20 marks for the UPSC technical-engineering examination, 20 marks for a valid GATE score, and 15 marks for the interview.
