JPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2025: The notification for the recruitment of Assistant Professors in Jharkhand is expected to be released soon. The Jharkhand High Court heard a public interest litigation (PIL) regarding the regular appointment of Assistant Professors and non-teaching staff at Ranchi University. The division bench has sought responses from Ranchi University, JPSC, and JSSC.

JPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2025: During the hearing of the PIL filed in the Jharkhand High Court, Advocate Abhay Prakash, representing the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC), stated that a requisition has been received from Ranchi University, seeking the appointment of Assistant Professors for a total of 431 regular and 37 backlog positions.

The JPSC assured the court that preparations for the selection process have been completed. The Commission will publish the advertisement in the last week of September or the first week of October. For this, visit the official website: jpsc.gov.in.

JPSC to issue notification

During the hearing, a division bench comprising Chief Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan and Justice Rajesh Shankar heard the arguments of both the JPSC and the JSSC. The bench asked Ranchi University to explain why the requisition for the appointment of non-teaching staff had not been sent to the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JPSC). The court directed the university to file a written response in this regard and scheduled the next hearing for September 25.

Advocate Sanjay Piprawal, representing the JSSC, filed an affidavit during the hearing. He stated that no requisition for the appointment of Class III staff had yet been received from Ranchi University. Consequently, the selection process could not be initiated.

Advocate Anoop Kumar Mehta, representing Ranchi University, presented the university's position before the court. The court clarified that it was essential to submit requisitions related to the appointments on time to avoid delays in the selection process.
