NIT Patna Non-Teaching Recruitment 2026: National Institute of Technology Patna has officially announced recruitment for non-teaching positions for the year 2026. What are the qualifications?
Educational qualifications are different for each position.

Assistant Registrar

Assistant Librarian
A master's degree in library science, information science, or documentation science with at least 60 percent marks is required. Passing the NET, SLET, or SET exam is also mandatory.

Superintendent
A first-class bachelor's degree in any discipline or a master's degree with 50% marks is required. Knowledge of computer word processing and spreadsheets is also required.

Technical Assistant
A BE or BTech degree in a relevant engineering branch or a first-class engineering diploma is required. Experience is also required for some positions.

Junior Assistant
A 12th-grade degree from a recognized board is required. A typing speed of 35 words per minute and computer knowledge are required.

Technician
A 10+2 science stream with 60% marks or a one-year ITI course with 50% marks. A two-year ITI after 10th grade or a three-year engineering diploma in a relevant field is also valid.

Age Limit
The age limit for candidates is determined by the position.

Assistant Registrar and Assistant Librarian - Maximum 35 years
Superintendent and Technical Assistant - Maximum 30 years
Junior Assistant and Technician - Maximum 27 years

Age relaxation will be provided for reserved categories as per government rules.

Salary Requirements?
Salaries for these positions will be based on the 7th Central Pay Commission.

Group A positions will be under the pay scale of PB-3, with a grade pay of ₹5,400.
Group B positions will be paid at Level 6.
Group C positions will be paid at Level 3.

After including allowances, the in-hand salary can range from approximately ₹28,000 to ₹80,000 or more.

Application Fee
The application fee for General, OBC, and EWS category candidates is ₹800.

Candidates belonging to SC and ST categories will have to pay ₹400 for Group B and Group C positions, while the fee for Group A positions is ₹800.

No fee will be charged for candidates with disabilities.
