NICL Recruitment for 321 Posts: Apply by October 28

Appointments for a total of 321 officer posts are to be made under the NICL AO Recruitment 2026. The online application process for this recruitment has commenced today. Eligible candidates can apply online until October 28, 2026.

National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) has issued a notification for the recruitment of Administrative Officers (Scale-I). Through this recruitment drive, a total of 321 posts will be filled across Generalist and Specialist categories. These include various fields such as Finance, Legal, Information Technology, Automobile Engineering, Risk Engineering, Company Secretary, and Agriculture. The online application process began today, October 8, and eligible candidates can apply online until October 28, 2026.

Under the NICL AO Recruitment 2026, appointments will be made for a total of 321 Administrative Officer posts. Of these, 200 posts are for Generalist Officers, while 121 are for Specialist Officers. The Specialist posts comprise 20 for Finance, 20 for Legal, 21 for Information Technology, 10 for Automobile Engineering, 28 for Risk Engineering, 2 for Company Secretary, and 20 for Agriculture. For the Generalist Officer post, a graduation or post-graduation degree in any stream is required. Candidates in the General category must have secured 60% marks, while SC, ST, and PwBD candidates require 55% marks.

Different Qualifications for Different Posts

For the Finance post, a graduation or post-graduation degree (with the required percentage of marks) along with CA/CMA qualification is mandatory. For the Legal post, a graduate or post-graduate degree in Law is required. For the Information Technology post, qualifications such as BE/B.Tech, ME/M.Tech, or MCA in Computer Science or IT are required. A relevant engineering qualification is mandatory for the Automobile Engineer post. For the Risk Engineer post, BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech degrees in engineering are required; however, Computer Science/IT and Automobile Engineering disciplines are excluded from this category. Candidates applying for the Company Secretary post must hold ACS/FCS certification from the ICSI, along with a graduation or post-graduation degree. For the Agriculture post, a four-year graduation or post-graduation degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Biotechnology, or Agricultural Engineering is required.

Age Limit: 21 to 30 Years

For NICL AO recruitment, candidates must be between 21 and 30 years of age as of October 1, 2026. This means the candidate’s date of birth must not be earlier than October 2, 1996, or later than October 1, 2005. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted age relaxation as per the rules.

Exams to be Held in December

Selection for the Administrative Officer post will be based on two online examinations and an interview. The Phase-1 examination is scheduled for November 17, 2026. Candidates who qualify in Phase-1 will proceed to Phase-2, the Main Examination. The Main Examination will be held on December 22, followed by a personal interview for the shortlisted candidates.

Salary Up to ₹1.14 Lakh

Candidates selected for the post of Administrative Officer (Scale-1) at NICL will receive an initial basic pay of ₹82,485. Including applicable allowances, the total monthly salary is estimated to be around ₹1,14,000.
