NIC Recruitment 2026: This presents an excellent opportunity for young individuals aspiring to work at the National Informatics Centre (NIC). The National Informatics Centre (NIC) has released an official notification announcing a massive recruitment drive for a total of 243 vacancies for the post of Scientist-B. The deadline for applications has been set for April 24. The online application process for the positions announced by the NIC commenced on March 27. Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology (or an equivalent degree) in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution or university. Additionally, they are required to hold a Master's degree in Science (M.Sc.), Computer Applications, Engineering, Technology, or M.Phil. in fields such as Electronics, Computer Science, IT, Software Systems, Information Technology, Informatics, Computer Management, Cyber ​​Law, etc. Furthermore, it is mandatory for candidates to possess a valid GATE 2024, 2025, or 2026 score in the relevant paper (CS/EC/DA).

What is the Age Limit?

The maximum age limit for candidates has been fixed at 30 years, calculated as of March 31. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted relaxation in the upper age limit in accordance with applicable rules.

Application Fee

While filling out the application form, candidates are required to pay the prescribed application fee online, based on their respective categories. The fee is ₹800 for candidates belonging to the General, OBC (NCL), and EWS categories.
