UPSC has released the notification for the NDA 2 Recruitment 2026. A total of 394 vacancies have been announced by the UPSC. Eligible candidates can apply online via the official website, upsc.gov.in, before June 9.

Through this recruitment drive, candidates will be selected for admission to the National Defence Academy (NDA) and the Indian Naval Academy (INA). This time, the UPSC has announced a total of 394 vacancies. These vacancies have been allocated across all three wings: the Army, Navy, and Air Force. The objective of this recruitment is to appoint qualified and disciplined officers to the country’s defense services. Upon completion of the selection process, successful candidates will undergo training at these prestigious defense academies.

Under this recruitment campaign, a total of 394 appointments will be made. Specifically, 208 seats have been allocated for the Army, 42 for the Navy, 120 for various branches of the Air Force, and 24 for the Naval Academy.

When will the examination be held?

The written examination for this recruitment will be conducted on September 13, 2026. The exam will be held at various centers across the country. Admit cards are scheduled to be released on September 6, 2026. The results of the examination are expected to be declared in September 2026.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To appear for this examination, a candidate must have passed the 12th grade or currently be studying in the 12th grade. For the Army Wing, candidates who have passed the 12th grade in any stream are eligible to apply. However, for the Air Force and Navy wings, having Physics and Mathematics as subjects in the 12th grade is mandatory.

What is the prescribed age limit?

For this recruitment drive, the age limit has been set for candidates born between January 1, 2008, and January 1, 2011. Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible to apply.

How ​​will the selection be conducted?

The NDA recruitment process is completed in three stages. The first stage consists of a written examination, which includes tests in Mathematics and General Ability. The second stage involves the SSB (Services Selection Board) interview. The final stage comprises a medical examination. Final selection is determined based on performance across all these stages.

What is the application fee?

The application fee for this recruitment drive has been fixed at ₹100. Candidates belonging to reserved categories are exempted from paying the application fee.

How ​​much stipend will be provided?

During the training period, candidates receive a monthly stipend of approximately ₹56,100. Upon completion of the training, selected officers are provided with a salary and other allowances in accordance with the Level 10 Pay Scale.
