MPSC Recruitment Process: The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has introduced changes to its recruitment process, eliminating the options for candidates to exercise 'commitment' and 'consent' (to decline or accept a selection). This decision came into effect on Wednesday.

The Commission explained that the 'commitment' option was previously provided to allow candidates appearing in the selection list to voluntarily withdraw from the recruitment process if they so desired; however, this provision has now been discontinued to further streamline the recruitment process.

Changes to Rules for Single and Multi-Cadre Recruitment
Following a meeting of the Commission, it was decided that the options for both 'commitment' and 'consent' will no longer be available in any MPSC examinations.

The Commission further clarified that while a 'waiting list' will continue to be issued for recruitment to single-cadre posts, no waiting list will be maintained for multi-cadre recruitment processes.

Furthermore, in the context of multi-cadre recruitment, if a candidate has already been allotted a post and has subsequently listed the same or a lower-ranking post among their preferences, they will not be considered for re-selection or recommendation for those specific posts.
