MPSC Group C Recruitment 2026: The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has announced a significant change to the recruitment drive for the Group-C Combined Preliminary Examination 2026. Initially, 2,619 posts were to be filled, but following a new notice, 3,088 additional posts have been added. The highest number of vacancies—1,539—is for the post of Village Revenue Officer (Talathi). Consequently, recruitment will now be conducted for a total of 5,707 posts. Who Can Apply?
Candidates holding a graduation degree from any recognized university are eligible to apply for the Talathi post. The maximum age limit for the General category is set at 38 years, while candidates from reserved categories will receive a 5-year age relaxation as per regulations.
Recruitment Process in Two Stages
The recruitment process will be conducted in two stages. First, an OMR-based Combined Preliminary Examination will be held on October 25, 2026. Candidates who qualify in this stage will be called for the Main Examination.
