MP Police Constable Recruitment 2026: There is great news for young aspirants preparing for a job in the Madhya Pradesh Police. The Inspector General of Police (Visbal Headquarters), Bhopal, has released the detailed notification for the MP Police Constable (Band) Recruitment 2026. Under this recruitment drive, a total of 679 vacancies will be filled. The online application process will commence on April 5, 2026, on the MP Online portal: mponline.gov.in.
**How Many Vacancies?**
Only male candidates are eligible to apply for this recruitment. Out of the total 679 posts, 458 are reserved for the General category, 92 for Home Guards, and 59 for Ex-Servicemen.
**Age Limit**
As of April 19, 2026, the candidate's minimum age must be 18 years. General/EWS/Candidates from Other States: Maximum 33 years.
SC/ST/OBC: Maximum 38 years.
Government Employees/Home Guards: 38 years.
Ex-Servicemen: Additional relaxation based on the duration of service.
**Educational Qualification**
General/SC/OBC: 12th Pass.
ST Category: 8th Pass.
**Physical Standards**
General/OBC/EWS: Height 168 cm; Chest 81–86 cm.
SC/ST: Height 165 cm; Chest 79–84 cm.
Gorkha/Others: Height 158 cm.
Vision: One eye must have 6/9 vision, and the other 6/12.
**Selection Process**
There will be no written examination in this recruitment process. Selection will be conducted in three stages:
Skill Test (Qualifying)
Band Playing Test (75 Marks)
Interview (25 Marks)
In the Band Test, a minimum score of 50% is required for the General category, and 40% for SC/ST candidates. Application Fee

Salary
Selected candidates will receive a salary ranging from ₹19,500 to ₹62,000. During the training period, a stipend of 70% will be provided in the first year, 80% in the second year, and 90% in the third year.
