MDL Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) has released the notification for Apprentice Recruitment 2026. A total of 495 apprentice positions will be filled through this recruitment drive. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online via the official MDL website from June 11, 2026, to July 1, 2026.

Application Criteria
The various trades available to candidates have been divided into three groups. Candidates who have passed the 10th standard can apply for Group A. This group includes trades such as Draughtsman (Mechanical), Electrician, Fitter, Pipe Fitter, and Structural Fitter. The age limit for this group is set at 15 to 19 years as of October 1, 2026.

Candidates who have passed the ITI course can apply for Group B. This group encompasses several trades, including Structural Fitter, Electrician, Draughtsman, Electronic Mechanic, Painter, Welder, COPA, and Carpenter. The age limit for this group is 16 to 21 years. Meanwhile, for Group C, candidates who have passed the 8th standard can apply for the Rigger and Welder (Gas & Electric) trades; the required age range for this group is 14 to 18 years.

In accordance with government regulations, candidates belonging to reserved categories will receive age relaxation benefits. Candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories will be granted a relaxation of 5 years.

Selection Process
The selection process for the MDL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 will be conducted in three stages. The first stage involves an online Computer-Based Test (CBT). Subsequently, the documents of successful candidates will be verified, and trades will be allotted based on merit. The final stage will consist of a medical examination for the candidates.

Application Fee
The application fee for this apprentice recruitment has been determined based on the candidate's category. Candidates belonging to the General, OBC, SEBC, EWS, and AFC categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹100. However, there is no fee for candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and PwD categories; the application process is completely free for them.
