MCL Recruitment 2026: Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) has released the recruitment notification for the year 2026. This recruitment is being conducted to fill a total of 667 vacancies, including Junior Overman, Mining Sirdar, Surveyor, and other technical posts.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through MCL's official website mahanadicoal.in, from March 16, 2026, to April 6, 2026. Learn Who Can Apply?
Junior Overman: For the Junior Overman position, candidates must possess a diploma or degree in mining engineering. They must also possess an Unrestricted Overman Competency Certificate (DGMS), a valid first aid certificate, and a gas testing certificate. Candidates must be between 18 and 30 years of age (UR/EWS) as of April 6, 2026.
Mining Sirdar: For this position, candidates must have completed 10+2 or a diploma/degree in mining engineering. Additionally, a Mining Sardarship Certificate (Unrestricted), First Aid Certificate, and Gas Testing Certificates from the DGMS are mandatory. The age limit is 18 to 30 years (UR/EWS) as of April 6, 2026.
Surveyor: For the position of Surveyor, a 10+2 or Diploma/Degree in Mining/Mine Survey Engineering is required. A Survey Competency Certificate (Unrestricted) issued by the DGMS is also mandatory. The age limit for this position is also 18 to 30 years (UR/EWS).
Translator (OL): For the position of Translator (OL), a BA or equivalent degree with Hindi and English is mandatory. Preference will be given to holders of a government diploma in Hindi translation. The age limit is 18 to 30 years (UR/EWS) as of April 6, 2026.
Technician (Pathology): For the position of Technician (Pathology), a Diploma in Pathology from a recognized institution is required. The age limit for this position is also set at 18 to 30 years (UR/EWS) as of April 6, 2026. Age relaxation will be provided to reserved categories as per government rules.
Application Fee:
General (UR), OBC, and EWS category candidates will be required to pay an application fee of ₹1,180 (₹1,000 + ₹180 GST). This fee must be submitted online as per the prescribed procedure.
SC, ST, Persons with Disabilities (PwBD), Ex-Servicemen (ESM), and female candidates are fully exempted from the application fee. Employees of Coal India Limited (CIL) and its subsidiaries will also be exempted from the application fee.
