Great news has emerged for ex-servicemen and retired personnel of paramilitary forces who are seeking employment in Bihar. The Bihar Police has initiated the recruitment process for 15,821 posts within the Special Armed Police (SAP). The most significant feature of this recruitment drive is that, for the first time, retired personnel from central paramilitary forces—such as the CRPF, BSF, and ITBP—are also being allowed to apply. This move is being hailed as a major step toward bolstering Bihar's security infrastructure and facilitating the re-employment of former military and paramilitary personnel.

**First-Ever Opportunity for Paramilitary Forces**
**Patna:** The 'Samrat' government in Bihar has taken a historic decision regarding the recruitment of SAP personnel. Until now, recruitment into this force was limited exclusively to ex-servicemen of the Indian Army; however, this time around, retired personnel from the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) will also be given the opportunity to join. This means that former personnel from forces such as the CRPF, BSF, and ITBP can now become an integral part of the Bihar Police's SAP wing.

**Essential Instructions for Applicants**
Interested ex-servicemen and retired paramilitary personnel are required to report, along with their original documents, to the office of the Army Employment Welfare Organization (AREO) located at Danapur Cantonment on the scheduled dates. The recruitment process will be conducted with complete transparency, with physical proficiency tests and document verification serving as the primary criteria for selection.

**Recruitment Schedule: When and Where Will the Rallies Be Held?**

The Bihar Police Headquarters has designated the Army Employment Welfare Organization (Danapur Cantonment) as the nodal agency for this recruitment drive. The recruitment rallies are scheduled to commence on June 1st and will continue until June 7th. The division-wise schedule is provided below:

**June 1:** Districts falling under the Purnia, Bhagalpur, and Darbhanga divisions (Purnia, Katihar, Araria, Kishanganj, Bhagalpur, Naugachhia, Banka, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Samastipur). June 2: Districts of the Kosi, Munger, and Saran divisions (Saharsa, Madhepura, Supaul, Munger, Begusarai, Khagaria, Lakhisarai, Sheikhpura, Jamui, Saran, Siwan, Gopalganj).
June 3: Districts of the Tirhut division (Muzaffarpur, Motihari, Bettiah, Bagaha, Sitamarhi, Vaishali, Sheohar).
June 4: Districts of the Magadh division (Gaya, Jehanabad, Arwal, Aurangabad, Nawada).
June 6: Patna division (Patna and Nalanda districts only).
June 7: Remaining districts of the Patna division (Bhojpur, Bhabhua, Rohtas, Buxar).

**Security Arrangements to be Further Strengthened**
It is worth noting that SAP (Special Armed Police) personnel are primarily deployed to secure Naxal-affected areas and critical establishments. The induction of experienced ex-servicemen and paramilitary personnel will enhance the operational efficiency and discipline of the police force. Furthermore, the recruitment of over 15,000 SAP personnel through this drive will significantly bolster law and order in Bihar.
