Massive Recruitment in Kendriya Vidyalayas, Opportunity to Become a Special Educator; Applications to Start Soon

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has prepared for a major recruitment drive for Special Educator positions for the year 2026. Under this recruitment, PRT and TGT Special Educators will be appointed in Kendriya Vidyalayas across the country. A total of 987 positions will be filled. The application dates have not yet been announced, but a notification will be released soon on the official website.

This recruitment includes 494 posts for PRT Special Educators and 493 posts for TGT Special Educators. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from Rs. 45,000 to Rs. 55,000. This salary will be determined based on experience and position, making this recruitment quite attractive for candidates.

An age limit has also been set for applying to the KVS Special Educator recruitment. The maximum age for the PRT Special Educator position is 30 years, while the maximum age limit for TGT Special Educators is 35 years. Age relaxation will be provided to candidates from reserved categories as per rules.

To become a PRT Special Educator, candidates must have passed 12th grade with at least 50 percent marks. A 2-year diploma in Special Education and passing CTET Paper-1 is also mandatory. For TGT Special Educators, a graduation degree with 50 percent marks, a B.Ed or Special Education diploma, and passing CTET Paper-2 are required.

The selection process for the KVS Special Educator recruitment will be conducted in three stages. First, a Tier-1 examination will be held, followed by a Tier-2 examination. A final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in both examinations, and appointments will be made accordingly. The final merit list for the KVS Special Educator Recruitment 2026 will be prepared based on the candidates' overall performance. The written examination will be given the highest weightage, with its marks contributing 70 percent to the final score. The interview and demo class performance will carry a 30 percent weightage. The combined scores from these two components will be used to create the final merit list.
