Rajasthan Safai Karmchari Recruitment 2026: There is big news for young people preparing for government jobs in Rajasthan. The state government has issued a notification for the recruitment of 24,752 sanitation workers (Safai Karmcharis) across the state's municipal corporations, municipal councils, and municipalities. This recruitment will be conducted on a contractual basis, and notably, there will be no written exam or interview. Selection will be made entirely through an online lottery system. The application process begins on August 15, 2026, and candidates can apply until September 28, 2026.

How to Apply?
Candidates can apply online using their Rajasthan SSO ID or via the official website of the Directorate of Local Bodies (DLB). Uploading a live photograph is mandatory during the application process. Female candidates and those belonging to SC, ST, OBC, MBC, and EWS categories will receive age relaxations ranging from 5 to 10 years, as per regulations. A major relief is that no minimum educational qualification has been prescribed; this means that both literate and illiterate candidates are eligible to apply. However, the applicant must be a bonafide resident of Rajasthan.

Experience is Mandatory
Candidates must possess at least one year of experience in sanitation work with an urban local body, government undertaking, or authorized organization. The experience certificate must be verified by a competent authority and issued after August 1, 2026.

The application fee is set at ₹600 for the general category and ₹400 for reserved categories and differently-abled candidates. Additionally, selected candidates will receive a monthly honorarium of ₹7,410 during the contract period. The government has stated that the regularization of employees will be considered after five years of satisfactory service.
