Maharashtra TDC Vacancy 2026: The Tribal Development Department (TDC), situated in Nashik, Maharashtra, has issued a notification for the recruitment of Watchmen (Chowkidar) positions under the Integrated Tribal Development Projects (ITDP). **10th Pass Candidates May Apply**

Regarding the age limit, the maximum age for candidates belonging to the General category is 38 years. For candidates from SC/ST/OBC categories, this limit is set at 43 years; for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), it is 45 years; and Ex-servicemen are granted an age relaxation of 3 years in addition to their period of service (up to a maximum age of 45 years). Furthermore, the age limit is set at 43 years for orphan candidates and up to 55 years for part-time employees.
**What is the Application Fee?**
The application fee for this recruitment is non-refundable; that is, once the fee is paid, no refund will be issued. Candidates are required to pay the fee through online modes, such as Debit Cards, Credit Cards, or Net Banking.
In terms of fees, candidates belonging to the General (Open) category must pay ₹1,000. Conversely, for candidates from Backward Classes, EWS, Orphan, and PwBD categories, the fee is fixed at ₹900 (reflecting a 10% concession). No application fee has been prescribed for Ex-servicemen and Disabled Ex-servicemen, meaning they may apply free of cost.
**Selection Process**
The selection process will commence with a Computer-Based Online Examination, which will be an objective-type (MCQ) test carrying a total of 200 marks. A merit list of candidates will be prepared based on the marks obtained in this examination. Candidates who secure marks exceeding the prescribed cut-off and minimum qualifying marks (45% for the General Category and 40% for Reserved Categories) will be called for the next stage: Document Verification. During this stage, all essential certificates and credentials of the candidates will be scrutinized.
**Salary Up to ₹47,000**
Candidates selected under this recruitment drive will be remunerated according to the S-1 Pay Scale. The monthly salary for the post of Chowkidar (Watchman) has been fixed within the range of ₹15,000 to ₹47,600. Additionally, candidates will receive various other allowances in accordance with government regulations, thereby enhancing their overall salary package and benefits.
