The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced recruitment for Project Scientist and Assistant positions. The last date to apply is December 14th. Candidates are advised to complete their online application before the deadline.

This is good news for young people preparing for government jobs. The India Meteorological Department has announced new recruitment for 2025.  Under this recruitment drive, appointments will be made to positions such as Scientists and Assistants. Eligible candidates will get an opportunity through an interview without a written examination.

A total of 134 posts will be filled under this recruitment. The recruitment is project-based, and positions in different categories are included.

For this recruitment, the maximum age limit for Project Scientist E is 50 years, for Project Scientist III it is 45 years, for Project Scientist II it is 40 years, and for Project Scientist I it is 35 years.  Age relaxation will be given to reserved categories as per the rules.

The qualifications for Project Scientist Grade E, III, II, and I, Scientific Assistant, and Admin Assistant are different for each post.

For Project Scientist, an M.Sc., B.Tech, or B.E. is required. For a Scientific Assistant, a graduation in Science, IT, Computer Science, or Electronics is necessary. For an Admin Assistant, a graduation in any subject and computer knowledge is required.

Candidates will be selected based on the screening of applications. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. There will be no written examination in this recruitment.
