Karnataka Police Constable Recruitment 2026: The Karnataka State Police (KSP) has initiated the online application process for the recruitment of 1,600 Armed Police Constables (CAR/DAR). Interested and eligible candidates may apply. The deadline for submitting applications is July 22, 2026.

This recruitment drive aims to fill constable positions across various police units in the state. Vacancies have been announced for both the General Karnataka and Kalyana Karnataka regions.

**Who Can Apply?**

Candidates must have passed the PUC, Class 12, or an equivalent examination from a recognized board or institution.

Candidates must possess proof of their educational qualification by the application deadline. Those currently awaiting results for the Class 12 or equivalent examination are not eligible to apply.

Additionally, candidates must have studied the Kannada language as either a first or second language at the SSLC level or must have passed the Kannada language examination conducted by the KEA.

**Age Limit**

The minimum age for application is 18 years, and the maximum age is 33 years. Age will be calculated as of July 22, 2026.

The government has also granted a one-time relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit for eligible candidates.

Ex-servicemen will receive an age relaxation of 3 years in addition to the duration of their military service.

**Reservation for Ex-servicemen**

In accordance with government regulations, 10 percent of the posts under direct recruitment are reserved for ex-servicemen. This benefit also extends to dependent family members of ex-servicemen who were martyred or became permanently disabled during service.
