Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has released the notification for bumper recruitment to the posts of Office Attendant / Parichari (Special). The special thing is that only 10th pass candidates can also apply for this recruitment. When will the application start?
The application process for this recruitment will start from 25 August 2025 and will run till 24 September 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online within the stipulated time limit by visiting the official website of BSSC bssc.bihar.gov.in. Applications will be valid only through online mode, applications made through any offline mode will not be accepted.
What should be the qualification?
To apply for the post of Office Attendant, the candidate must have passed 10th/Matriculation or its equivalent examination from a recognized board. Apart from this, the minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years. The maximum age limit has been fixed differently according to the categories. This limit is 37 years for men of general category, 40 years for men and women of backward and extremely backward classes, 40 years for unreserved women and 42 years for Scheduled Caste/Tribe. Disabled candidates will get an additional relaxation of 10 years in all categories.
How much application fee will have to be paid?
The application fee has also been fixed for this recruitment. All candidates from unreserved category, backward class and outside Bihar state will have to pay a fee of 540. While for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Divyaangjan and women candidates of all categories, the fee has been kept at 135.
How will be the selection process?
Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination. This examination will be objective type in which a total of 100 questions will be asked. 4 marks will be given for every correct answer while 1 mark will be deducted for the wrong answer. Questions will be asked from General Hindi, General Knowledge and Mathematics subjects.
How much percentage of marks will be required?
To pass the written examination, candidates from unreserved category will have to score a minimum of 40% marks. This limit has been fixed at 36.5% for backward class, 34% for extremely backward class and minimum 32% for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Divyaang and women candidates.
