JSSC Recruitment 2025: The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has released the 2025 recruitment notification for the posts of Assistant Jailor and Warder. This recruitment process will fill 42 Assistant Jailor and 1,733 Warder positions in the state. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online from November 7, 2025, to December 8, 2025, at the official website, jssc.jharkhand.gov.in. Necessary amendments to the online application can then be made between December 11 and 13.

Vacant Position Details

The total vacancy for the Wardor recruitment is 1,733. Of these, 1,634 positions are reserved for male candidates, 165 for ex-servicemen, 413 for Home Guards, and the remaining 1,056 for other candidates. 64 positions are reserved for female candidates. The total number of Assistant Jailor positions is 42.

Qualifications
For the position of Assistant Jailor, a candidate must possess a bachelor's degree from a recognized university. For the position of Warder, the minimum educational qualification is 10th pass.

Age Limit
The age limit is as of August 1, 2025. The minimum age for general category candidates is 21 years, and the maximum age is 35 years. The maximum age for male candidates from Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes is 37 years. The maximum age for women from unreserved, backward, EWS, and backward classes is 38 years. The maximum age for male and female candidates from the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes is 40 years.

Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on a written examination, physical efficiency test, and medical test.

Physical Test
Male: 1600-meter run to be completed in 6 minutes
Female: 1600-meter run to be completed in 10 minutes
Height Criteria
Male: Unreserved/EWS/Extremely Backward Category - Minimum height 160 cm, chest 81 cm
SC/ST - Minimum height 155 cm, chest 79 cm
Female candidates - Minimum height 148 cm
Format of Written Examination
The examination will be conducted in two stages: Preliminary and Main. Questions will be objective and multiple choice, carrying 3 marks for each correct answer, with 1 mark deducted for each incorrect answer.

Knowledge related to the state of Jharkhand - 60 questions
General Mathematics - 10 questions
General Science - 10 questions
Mental Ability Test - 10 questions
