There is good news for young people preparing for government jobs in Jharkhand. The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has released a notification for the recruitment of 1733 Jail Warder posts. Online registration for this recruitment will begin on January 9, 2026.

Candidates can apply online for the Jail Warder recruitment from January 9, 2026, to February 8, 2026. A correction window will also be open from February 11 to 13, 2026, to correct any errors in the application form. This process was initially scheduled to begin in November 2025, but it is now being restarted.

To apply for the JSSC Jail Warder Recruitment 2025, candidates must have passed Class 10th from a recognized board or institution in India. No specific subject or degree is required, giving a direct opportunity to 10th-pass youth.

The age of the candidates will be calculated as of August 1, 2025. The minimum age for applying is 18 years. The maximum age limit is determined according to the category. The maximum age for General category (male) candidates is 25 years, 27 years for Extremely Backward Class (EBC), and 30 years for SC/ST category candidates.

All candidates applying for the JSSC Jail Warder Recruitment 2025 will have to pay an examination fee. The application fee for General category candidates is Rs. 100, while SC and ST category candidates will have to pay Rs. 50. The fee will be paid online during the application process.
