Who can apply for the Indian Navy SSR Medical Recruitment?
Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized board with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) stream. In addition to the overall aggregate percentage across all subjects, the candidate must also have secured at least 40% marks in each subject. The applicant must have been born between May 1, 2005, and October 31, 2009 (both dates inclusive). Candidates may also verify these eligibility-related details by referring to the official recruitment notification.

How will the selection process for the SSR Medical Branch be conducted?
Stage I: The Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET) will consist of 100 questions. Each question will carry 01 mark. The examination will feature objective-type questions asked in both Hindi and English. The examination will consist of questions drawn from four sections: English, Science, Biology, and General Awareness. You will be required to complete these questions within a duration of one hour.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT): Once the results for Stage I are declared, candidates will be shortlisted and called for the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) based on the established cutoff marks. This test requires candidates to complete a 1.6 km run within 6 minutes and 30 seconds. Additionally, candidates must perform 20 squats, 15 push-ups, and 15 sit-ups.

Stage II: Only those candidates who successfully clear the Physical Fitness Test will be eligible to appear for Stage II. This stage will also comprise 100 questions, with each question carrying one mark. Questions will be asked from the same four subjects: English, Science, Biology, and General Awareness.

How to Fill Out the Navy SSR (Medical) Application Form?
To apply for this Navy recruitment drive, candidates must visit the official website: www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.
Navigate to the 'Careers' section and select the 'SSR (Medical Assistant)' option.
An 'Apply Online' option will appear on your screen.
If you are not already registered on the website, click on 'Register Now' first. Here, select a valid Photo ID proof, enter its corresponding number, and save the details.
Fill in the remaining required details to generate your unique Registration Number and Password.
Now, log in to the portal and carefully fill in all the blank fields within the application form.
Upload a passport-sized photograph within the specified file size range of 10 KB to 50 KB. If a 'Live Photo Capture' option is utilized, ensure that you upload a high-quality image.
Scan and upload your signature, along with any other necessary documents, ensuring they are in the correct file size and format.
Pay the online application fee and take a printout of the submitted application form for your records.

While filling out the online form, candidates belonging to the General, OBC, EWS, SC, and ST categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹550/-. This payment can be made through online modes. If, after submission, you identify any errors in your application form, you have the opportunity to make corrections until April 10–11, 2026. The INET Stage I examination is scheduled to be held in May 2026.
