There is big news for the youth who are dreaming of getting a government job in the bank. Indian Overseas Bank has released recruitment for Specialist Officer (SO) posts, for which the online application process has started from September 12. Candidates eligible for SO posts can fill the form by visiting the official website www.iob.in through online mode to join the recruitment. The last date for filling the application form and depositing the fee has been fixed as 3 October 2025.

Who can participate in the recruitment?

Different qualifications have been fixed according to the post to participate in this recruitment. The candidate should have done an engineering degree/graduation/post graduation / CA / CMA / ICWA / CFA / MBA, etc. in the relevant field as per the post. Along with this, the minimum age of the candidate should not be less than 18 years, and the maximum age should not be more than 35 years. Candidates coming from the reserved category will be given relaxation in the upper age limit as per the rules. Age will be calculated keeping in mind 1 September 2025. After this, click on Click here for New Registration and register by filling in the required details.

After registration, candidates should complete the form by filling in the other information.

Upload signature and photograph.

Pay the prescribed fee category-wise and submit the form.

Finally, take a printout of the application. The last date to take a printout is 18 October 2025.

Application fee
Along with filling the application form, General, OBC, and EWS categories will have to deposit Rs 1000 as a fee. SC, ST, and PH category will have to deposit application fee of only Rs 175. The fee can be paid through online mode.

Through this recruitment, appointments will be made on 127 posts of Specialist Officer. Selection for recruitment will be done through online examination and interview.
