Supreme Court JCA Recruitment 2026: The Supreme Court has issued an advertisement for the recruitment of Junior Court Assistants (JCA). Online applications have been invited from eligible Indian citizens under Advertisement No. F.6/2026-SC (RC). A total of 250 (tentative) posts will be filled through this recruitment drive. These posts fall under the Group-B, Non-Gazetted category.

What are the qualifications required to become a Junior Court Assistant?

How many stages are there in the selection process?

How many candidates will proceed to the next stage?
Candidates securing a minimum of 50 marks in the objective test will be shortlisted for the next stage. Candidates will be called for the typing test in a ratio of approximately 1:10 against the 250 tentative vacancies. The answer sheets for the descriptive test will be evaluated only for those candidates who qualify in the mandatory computer typing test.
Subsequently, candidates who qualify in the objective, typing, and descriptive tests will be called for an interview in a ratio of approximately 1:3.
The final merit list will be prepared based on the candidates' performance and the prescribed rules regarding reservation.

Where will the examination be held?
The objective test will be conducted in 131 cities across different parts of the country.
The typing test and the descriptive written test will be held in Delhi/National Capital Region (NCR).
The interview may be conducted either online or in person in Delhi.
Admit cards can only be downloaded online; hard copies will not be sent by post.
No travel or daily allowance will be provided for appearing in the examination or interview.
What is the application fee?
The application fee varies according to the category:

General, Unreserved, and Economically Weaker Section (EWS): ₹1,500
SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), Ex-Servicemen, and Persons with Disabilities (PwD): ₹750

Applicable bank charges must also be paid. Payment can only be made online via the UCO Bank payment gateway available on the Supreme Court's website. The application fee, once paid, is non-refundable.
