The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released a notification for 7,994 posts of Revenue Lekhpal. Online applications will start from December 29, 2025, and will continue until January 28, 2026. Along with being a 12th pass, the candidate must have appeared in the PET 2025 examination. There was a controversy regarding the 27 percent reservation for the OBC category in this recruitment, which is being rectified on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The number of OBC posts is now expected to increase to 2,158 in the revised advertisement.
UP Home Guard Recruitment (41,424 posts)
This is the largest Home Guard recruitment in the history of UP. The application process for this has recently been completed. A total of 41,424 volunteers will be recruited through this examination. The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment Board (UPPRPB) has released the exam schedule. The written examination will be held on April 25, 26, and 27, 2026.
UP Police SI and ASI Recruitment (537 posts)
The UP Police has announced recruitment for the posts of Sub-Inspector (Confidential) and Assistant Sub-Inspector (Clerk/Accounts). The application process will run from December 20, 2025, to January 19, 2026. Candidates applying for these positions must have a graduate degree along with typing skills and an 'O' level certificate or equivalent. A new recruitment announcement for UP Police Constable positions is also expected soon (by the end of December or January 2026).
UP Medical Officer Recruitment
Expert doctors will be recruited for hospitals in Uttar Pradesh, and teachers will be recruited for medical colleges. The UP Cabinet approved the formation of the UP Specialist Doctor and Medical Teacher Recruitment Board on Monday. Once the board is formed, advertisements for specialist doctors can be released as needed to address the shortage.
