UPSC Recruitment 2025 Application Form: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is one of the prestigious investigating agencies of India. Getting a government job in the CBI is the dream of many youth. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has given a job opportunity in the CBI. UPSC has released a notification for the recruitment of a total of 84 posts of Public Prosecutor and Assistant Prosecutor in CBI and Lecturer in the School Education Department.

Qualifications for CBI Public Prosecutor and Assistant Public Prosecutor

There should be a degree in law from a recognized university or institute. For the Public Prosecutor, 7 years of experience in the bar in criminal cases, along with a law degree, have been sought. Eligible applicants should be at least 30-35 years old. Reserved category candidates will be given relaxation in the maximum age limit as per government rules.

UPSC Lecturer Qualification

Only those candidates can get the job on lecturer posts who have done post-graduation from a recognized university or institute in the relevant subject and have a B.Ed degree. The maximum age limit is up to 45 years (reserved category). Candidates will be recruited for lecturer posts in the School Education Department, Union Territory, Ladakh Administration. Candidates are advised to read the UPSC recruitment notification carefully before applying.

Log in using the generated credentials.

After filling the form, pay the fee and click on submit.

Download the confirmation page and take a printout for further reference.

UPSC Selection Process

No examination will be conducted for the recruitment of Assistant Public Prosecutor, Public Prosecutor, and Lecturer posts. Eligible applicants will be called for an interview round. Its date, time, and venue will be announced on the official website in due course. On the day of the interview, candidates must bring a printout of the application form and relevant documents.

Unreserved/Economically Weaker Section: 50 marks
OBC: 45 marks
SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities: 40 marks

Salary of a Lecturer and a Public Prosecutor
Candidates getting government jobs in this recruitment drive of UPSC will get the benefit of salary and allowances under the 7th Pay Commission (7th CPC).
Assistant Public Prosecutor: Basic salary from Rs 44,900 per month (starting salary) to Rs 1,42,400 per month (maximum salary) under Pay Matrix Level-07. In-hand salary, including allowances, is around Rs 84,981.
Public Prosecutor: Basic salary from Rs 56,100 per month to Rs 1,77,500 per month under Level- 10. In-hand salary with allowances is approximately Rs 91,805.

Lecturer: Basic salary from Rs 53,100 per month to Rs 1,67,800 per month under Level-9. In-hand salary with allowances is approximately Rs 87,495.

UPSC Recruitment Application Fee

Applicants have to pay an application fee of Rs 25. Payment can be made in cash at any SBI branch, through net banking of any bank, or through Visa/Master/Rupay/Credit/Debit Card or UPI. There is no fee for SC, ST, Divyaangjan and female candidates of any community.
