There is a job opportunity for unemployed youth in Himachal Pradesh. Applications have been invited for well-paid jobs in Israel. Mandi District Employment Officer Arvind Singh Chauhan stated that applications for employment as home-based caregivers in Israel are being invited through the Himachal Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation Limited. The contract period will be two years, with the possibility of renewal.

He mentioned that the total monthly salary for these positions is 6,443.85 New Israeli Shekels (NIS), which is equivalent to approximately ₹1.99 lakh per month at the current exchange rate. This amount includes the basic salary along with allowances for medical insurance, food, accommodation, and other expenses. However, deductions will be made for insurance, accommodation, food, and other items in accordance with prescribed rules. Even after these deductions, the take-home salary will be approximately ₹1 lakh per month. The deadline for registration has been set for September 1, 2026.

He stated that candidates must have completed at least 990 hours (including On-the-Job Training/OJT) of recognized training related to caregiving services and hold a certificate recognized or issued by a competent Indian regulatory authority. Alternatively, candidates must possess a diploma in Nursing, Physiotherapy, Nurse Assistant, or Midwifery from a training institute recognized by the relevant Indian regulatory authority. Candidates with qualifications such as GDA, ANM, GNM, B.Sc. Nursing, or Post B.Sc. Nursing are eligible.

He informed that selected candidates will have to bear expenses amounting to approximately ₹1,47,086 themselves before being deployed and signing the contract. This amount is an estimate and is subject to change. Additionally, the candidate will also have to bear the visa processing fee. He explained that this amount covers the registration fee, medical examination fee, police report, passport fee (if required), interview video recording fee, and the first installment for the 'basket of services' provided by the placement bureau in Israel. Additionally, the selected candidate must bear the cost of air travel to and from Israel.
