The FMCG i.e. fast processing industry is growing steadily. With the growth in this sector, new people are also getting jobs. According to the report of TeamLease Edtech, the business in the FMCG sector will double by 2025-26, after which job opportunities will open up for freshers in this sector. However, still more youth have got jobs till the half of this year as compared to last year. The figure which was 27 percent in 2024 has increased to 32 percent by the half of this year.
According to the report, the food processing sector is growing continuously. In the year 2019, the business of this industry was $ 263 billion i.e. Rs 22,23,511 crore, which is estimated to reach $ 535 billion by 2025-26 with an annual growth of 12.6 percent. This growth is being seen more rapidly in villages and semi-urban markets. It is believed that freshers will get jobs in this sector in the coming time.
Jobs in the dairy sector
The FMCG sector includes businesses whose products are used daily. According to the report, with the growth in the FMCG sector, jobs are being found in companies making dairy, RTE foods, frozen meat, and snacks. Job opportunities are opening up, especially in the field of supply chain and market research.
Jobs have increased due to expansion in rural areas.
Shantanu Rooj, founder and CEO of TeamLease Edtech, said that the FMCG sector has expanded in villages and semi-urban areas, due to which jobs are increasing in this sector. Along with this, companies are giving preference to those youth who have an understanding of the market as well as regional consumer behavior, meaning they can easily understand the needs of the regional people and take the business forward accordingly. There are also jobs in this sector in many big cities of the country like Bangalore, Delhi, and Hyderabad.
