JKSSB Vacancy 2026: The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has officially released the notification for the Jammu and Kashmir Police Constable Recruitment 2026.  Under this recruitment drive, the board has announced a total of 669 vacancies, including various Constable posts such as Armed/IRP, SDRF, Telecommunication, and Photographer.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official JKSSB website from February 1, 2026, to March 2, 2026. Detailed information regarding the recruitment and the application process is available on the commission's website.

Eligibility Criteria:
For Constable (Armed/IRP/SDRF) posts, candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th standard) from a recognized board. For Constable (Telecommunication) posts, candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with Science subjects.

For Constable (Photographer) posts, candidates must have passed 10+2 (with Science subjects). Additionally, candidates must possess a minimum of a 6-month computer course certificate and 2 years of work experience in videography/photography.

Written Examination and Physical Test
The Constable recruitment process will begin with a written examination consisting of objective-type multiple-choice questions. Negative marking will be applicable. NCC certificate holders will be awarded bonus marks as per the rules. Candidates selected based on the written exam (6 times the number of vacancies) will be called for the Physical Standard Test (PST), which will assess minimum height and chest measurements.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Candidates who qualify the PST will participate in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), which will include tests such as long-distance running, push-ups, and shot put. Ex-servicemen candidates will be given age-based relaxations in the standards. Following this, all original certificates will be verified during document verification, and finally, a medical examination will be conducted to assess the physical and medical fitness of the candidates.
