Jharkhand Vacancy: The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has announced recruitment for 1,733 Jail Warder posts. The online application process will begin on November 7th. Applications for the Jharkhand Jail Warder Competitive Examination 2025 must be submitted through the official website, jssc.jharkhand.gov.in. The last date for filling the form is December 8th, 2025.

This recruitment will be conducted under the Jharkhand Police, Jail Warder, Constable (Home Guards), and Excise Constable (Joint Constable) Recruitment Rules 2025.

Eligibility for the Jail Warder Position
To become a Jail Warder, candidates must have passed the 12th standard from a recognized board. The age limit is 18 to 25 years. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per the rules. They must also pass a fitness test.

Height -
Unreserved, EWS, Extremely Backward Class Males - 160 cm
SC and ST Males - 155 cm
Women of all categories - 148 cm

Chest -Unreserved, EWS, Extremely Backward Class Males - At least 81 cm after expansion
SC and ST Males - At least 79 cm after expansion

Selection Process
First, there will be a physical standardization and physical efficiency test. After passing this, there will be a written examination and finally a medical test.

Physical Test Rules Simplified
The physical test rules for Jail Warder recruitment have been simplified. Previously, men were required to run 10 km. Now, they will have to run 1600 meters in 6 minutes, while women will have 8 minutes.
