Jharkhand News: Jharkhand youth get chance in army recruitment, event will be held from 23 August to 4 September; what are the preparations?

A big opportunity has come up for the youth of Jharkhand to join the Indian Army. An army recruitment rally will be organized in Khelgaon, Ranchi, from August 22 to September 4, 2025, in which thousands of youth will participate. Regarding this, a detailed meeting was held in the Collectorate Auditorium on Monday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri. In the meeting, intense brainstorming was done regarding the preparations for the recruitment rally.

'Priority is to recruit the youth of Ranchi in the army'

During the meeting, Colonel Vikas Bhola, present on behalf of the Army, urged the Deputy Commissioner to pay special attention to recruiting as many youths of Ranchi district as possible into the Army. He said that our priority is that the youth of Ranchi participate in this rally and give a new direction to their lives by joining the army. For this, every necessary facility and cooperation are expected from the district administration.

Colonel Bhola also said that all things like law and order, traffic management, medical facilities, security systems, and arrangement of rest areas for the candidates should be ensured on time at the rally site. Availability of ambulance and medical team will be mandatory from 4:00 am every day of the rally, so that any emergency can be dealt with.

DC gave instructions for all possible cooperation.

Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri assured that all necessary arrangements would be made on time by the district administration. He gave instructions to the concerned departments to work in mutual coordination to make the rally smooth and organized. The DC cautioned the youth and said that the recruitment process is completely transparent; there is no place for any kind of middlemen or brokers in it. He appealed to the youth not to get misled by anyone and not to give money to anyone. Only those candidates will be selected for the recruitment who fulfill all the criteria.

Recruitment posts and required qualifications
Army officials said that in this recruitment rally, candidates will be selected for the following posts, which include Group A: Agniveer (General Duty), Group B: Agniveer (Technical), Group C: Agniveer Clerk / Store Keeper Technical, Group D: Agniveer Tradesman (10th Pass), Group E: Agniveer Tradesman (8th Pass), etc. It will be mandatory to bring the documents mentioned in the latest notification for all these posts. No candidate will be allowed to participate in the rally without documents.

Online documents and an Android phone are mandatory
The Army also clarified that the candidates will have to submit a character certificate, residence certificate, and caste certificate only in online verified format. Apart from this, it will be mandatory for all the candidates to bring an Android phone, so that the identification and verification process is facilitated.
