The Jharkhand Home Guard Corps has issued an official notification for recruitment to a total of 737 Home Guard positions. Candidates interested in working as Home Guards in Jharkhand will soon be able to apply. The application process for these positions will begin on November 18, 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply until December 21, 2025.

Age Limit
The minimum age for these positions is 19 years, and the maximum age is 40 years. Age relaxation will also be provided to candidates from special categories.

Educational Qualification
Candidates applying for rural Home Guard positions must have passed Class 7 from a recognized board, and for urban Home Guard positions, they must have passed Class 10. Furthermore, the height limit for general and OBC male candidates is 162 cm, while for SC and ST male candidates, the height limit is 157 cm. Additionally, women in all categories must be 148 cm tall. Candidates must also be capable of working in a technical field.

How will the selection be conducted?
Candidates will be selected based on a physical examination test, a Hindi writing ability test, and a technical proficiency test. In the written examination, candidates will be asked questions based on their seventh or tenth grade level. To pass this exam, candidates must score 30 out of 100. Successful candidates will be called for the technical proficiency test.
