Educational Qualification
Technician Apprentice – Candidates must hold a 3-year full-time diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, Electrical & Electronics, or Electronics). Trade Apprentice (Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Machinist): Candidates must have passed Matriculation and completed a 2-year ITI course in the relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT.
Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator: Candidates must have passed Class 12 and possess computer knowledge.
Graduate Apprentice: Candidates must hold a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
Age Limit
Minimum age: 18 years
Maximum age: 24 years (as of August 31, 2026)
Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL, and up to 10 years for PwBD candidates.
IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Stipend
Stipends for the IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 are paid in accordance with the ‘Apprentices Act, 1961’ and ‘Apprenticeship Rules, 1992’.
An additional ₹2,500 per month is provided by IOCL to cover other expenses.
For Graduate and Technician Apprentices: A portion of the stipend is disbursed by the ‘Board of Apprenticeship Training’ via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
For Trade Apprentices (NAPS): The stipend is paid directly by IOCL, Marketing Division – Northern Region.
Candidates are required to have an active, Aadhaar-linked, and DBT-enabled bank account.
